Friday the 13th is generally considered to be an unlucky day.
So far so good for me today though, and I hope it stays that way.
I’m sure I had my own Friday the 13th a day early though!
The day started OK. Woo lost a tooth the night before, and I had remembered to do my tooth fairy duties so he was happy when he woke up and found a coin under his pillow.
I’d just got out of the shower when he woke up and found it. He showed me and was really pleased with it, so I went to get myself dressed.
However, within a couple of minutes he started banging around and shouting so I went to see what the problem was.
He’d dropped his coin and lost it somewhere and got really upset. Luckily I found it quite quickly. It had fallen just beside his bed but had carefully hidden itself on a dark spot on the carpet.
So he was happy once again, and I went to get myself dressed again.
This time I managed it.
Then the twins got up and dressed at their usual speed, which isn’t always that quick in the mornings because they like to talk – a lot.
So once I was sorted, I went downstairs and started getting their breakfast. While they were sitting eating their cereal, I made them all a cup of tea – then knocked a whole cup of tea all over the kitchen worktop, which then ran all down the side of the cupboard and inside the cupboard door and draw!
I took a deep breath and cleaned it up, then made Boo a fresh cup of tea since it was hers I’d knocked over!
Then we went about our usual routine, and with lots of nagging the children to hurry up we eventually left the house.
I’m pleased to report that the drive to school went without incident.
Once I’d dropped the children at their schools I walked back to my car and was having a chat with one of the other Mum’s.
We finished our conversation and both went to get into our cars, except instead of opening the car door and climbing into the driver’s seat, I opened the rear door and went to climb into the back seat!
I have no idea how I thought I was going to drive the car home from the back seat though…
Thank goodness I seem to be a bit more ‘with it’ today!Google+
