Christmas is always a busy, hectic time of year for most parents.
I’m no exception.
All I can say is thank goodness I don’t go out to work. I’m not entirely sure where I’d fit it in at the moment!
It’s all starting to calm down a bit now but these past few weeks have been a blur of shopping, writing cards, going to school performances and trying to stay afloat with the usual housework and general day to day life.
Last week we went to see the twins in their Christmas performance. I was absolutely bursting with pride to see them and their friends perform in what will be their last performance at infant school.
This week it will be Woo’s turn to show me how clever he is. I can’t wait!
Also last week saw the PTA annual fundraising event at Woo’s school. They have a Christmas fair and all the children have a part to play in the organisation of it. It’s a very hectic but fun event. The children love getting involved and being given responsibilities.
Tonight the twins are going to sing for their school choir. They love singing and dancing so they will certainly enjoy this. They are also going to be involved in a performance with the after school dance club that they do now. It’s going to be at a theatre near where we live in February and all the family have booked tickets to go and see them.
It’s also Mark’s work Christmas party this coming Friday. My in-laws are coming to stay with the children so we can spend the night in the hotel where the party is being held. I’m quite looking forward to having a nice relaxing evening without having the children to worry about. I will miss them though but it’s only for the night. The added bonus is that because my husband arranged the whole party, we got a room for free.
Can’t complain at that!Google+
